It was an honour to be asked to collaborate with Joshua Kane for his decade runway collection. The show hosted five of my sculptures, most notably the centre piece horse head with tailoring scissor mane.
The piece in question reflects the designer’s heritage of rural Oxfordshire, coupled with the physical tailoring tool’s and Joshua’s distinct style separating him from his contemporaries. The ‘steam punk’ esq. nature of the piece reflects a new journey into the exaggeration of prominent animal features, pushing the boundaries of figurative sculpture.
This show marked my first collaboration and my first show within the fashion industry.
